Rewriting the About Page for Clarity and Quality
Thanks for stopping by. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed and check out some popular articles.
I’m trying to make money blogging online. I’m essentially starting from scratch with this blog. I’m going to be using the resources you might expect: ProBlogger Darren, John Chow, and Shoemoney.
I was browsing through some of Darren’s Best posts, and came across How to Write Your About Me Page. This has been something I have always struggled with. My About Pages have always been kind of awkward. I followed Darren’s advice and rewrote the About page for this blog and my other site, NoDebtPlan.net.
You can check out the new pages for KMull and NoDebtPlan.
And for a good laugh, I’ll throw in the old about page for No Debt Plan. Obviously I had no idea what I was doing!
We’ll throw some more detail in here eventually, but here’s the idea:
* Debt-free life is the goal.
* Debt is usually bad.
* Consumer debt is especially bad.
* Budgeting is key to making our money work for us rather than the opposite.
* I am not an accountant, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA). I’m not even a professional writer! I am just a guy with a passion for budgeting and personal finance.Want to know more? Here’s a post on Who I Am, Where I Stand. And hey, thanks for stopping by!
This isn’t one of those earth shaking ideas that will suddenly result in me earning millions of dollars blogging. But it helps to have a polished About page to go along with the high quality content you post.
What do you think of my new about pages?
