Health care in America. Ah, can you smell the profit being raked in by the mega-corporations? A fine way to start the morning.
Health care costs are expected to continue to rise for the next, oh, ten million years. The baby boomers are getting older, and costs are simply going up. And up. And up.
Prescriptions is one area where prices continue to rise especially regular name brand prescriptions like Viagra. Generics have been picked up by some local grocery stores or pharmacies and offered for cheap, but sometimes you just need the real deal.
There’s a new online company to help you get prescriptions for less than you would elsewhere: edrugstore.md. They want to not only help you buy Viagra online, but offer a few interesting services like health articles and the ability to ask a physician a question. I would be interested to learn how the “Ask a Physician” question works. I’m guessing they don’t have doctors sitting around answering e-mail all day because, as I mentioned before, they could be helping rake in the profits out in the rest of the industry. Perhaps they volunteer, or something like that.
The health articles are as you might expect them… information on different types of drugs and other health information.
